Men, Power, Libido and Control
I have been following recent happenings in the country specially since Dec 2012 rape case with utter dismay and anguish. Despite eruption of emotions publicly and follow up with some legal fine tuning there hasn't been any change in the ground reality and very specially in the mind set. Number of rape cases keep getting reported - some with minors and even toddlers. My guess is that majority are not reported. Hardly any progress has been made in legal cases where perpetrators of this heinous crime have been apprehended. There appears to be not let up in the frequency, ferocity or spread of the menace. Another issue that I had noted earlier that heavy majority of rape, attempted rape and assault cases involve person(s) known to the victim including relations, neighbors, friends, colleagues, bosses and even fathers, has been overwhelmingly confirmed.
