Civil Disobidience of 21st Century

It was 1930 if I am not mistaken when civil disobidience movement was started by Gandhiji. I think some one forgot to tell our people that after we had gained independence that we need not continue to follow the movement. why else would I see:-

1)  People jumping red lights / stopping in the middle of crossings way ahead of Stop Line, take the wrong side of the two way road, park at corners or no parking area or blow horns near hospitals / schools when these acts are punishable offences.

2)  Inside Delhi Metro people sitting on the floor of coach, playing loud music, leaning against the doors, clicking pics / making videos, sitting on seats reserved for ladies / elders when poor announcers keep telling Not to do so throughout the journey.

3)  People smoking or talking on mobiles in areas where it is banned and announced / displayed clearly.

4)  People spitting, urinating, defeacating and throwing garbage every where including from running cars when it is legally and ethically not done.

5)  People jumping queue at all places.

Basically I find people averse to all kinds of rules / procedures and laws. It's in our blood since 1930 to resist all established rules of land. Probably we find any one in power resembling Governer Generals of East India Company and still think we are patriots who need to flout all rules and regulations and disobey every authority as Gandhiji had taught us for freedom.

Alas! We got freedom from British rule but lost freedom of civic sense.

  1. unfortunately, we are tuned to an attitude of "being told to do what or monitored". This is how we grow up. Unfortunately our moral standards and values have stooped so low that all you wrote looks like a visual in an average Indian's life but very very different from other Asian races.

Having lived as a slave-Moghuls / British / Dynasty rule, we genetically and now need governance - strong one. All British colonies in Asia have strong laws prohibiting every act you described but except in India.

We still are living under foreign rule, obviously congress and its leadership combine and still trying to do a mutiny on citizen laws.

As a hard fact, we need people with strong courage and morals to enact as examples and implement the law. anyone can pass a petty crime by paying 10 to 1000 bucks.

having travelled short trips to many parts of the world, only thought that comes in head "why we cannot be like this". You cannot see a policeman on Kulalalumpur or Singapore streets/roads leave the beggar aside. Why - because if you break the rule you are finished with heavy fine or cancelling the Licence.

Today, India @ 1.3 Billion needs to export out its population to ensure we have the sizeable mass only that is easily manageable.

Truly stating-every thought in foreign land is that why is this not possible in INDIA.
