MY VIEWS ON ANTI GRAFT CAMPAIGN

My views on happenings in the country in last few days. Its a very complex issue with no straight answers:-
- Its not Pro / Anti Hazare debate.
- Its about raising voice against corruption in all its manifestations.
- There is nothing white or black in this domain - they are all shades of gray
- Methodology of people in question may or may not be correct but years of frustration and oppression can result in such outbursts.
- corruption is all pervasive and has become a part of our souls and lives - SAD.
- It can be tackled.
- Only Janlokpal Bill CANNOT solve the issue - be it Govt's or Anna's version.
- We can start by changing ourselves FIRST and becoming uncorruptible.
- Carrot and Stick will work.
- Bring reforms in elections, police, judiciary, education, taxation and procurement
- Autonomous body / bodies be made / reorganized (CBI/ CVC) to monitor, deter and punish defaulters
- Let the present outsry be guided positively towards constructive resolution of issue and not become a one up-manship game of ego or political slugfest
- If Anna is also corrupt bring a solid Janlokpal bill and let him the first one to be prosecuted
- Constitution is supreme but if needed can be amended (we have precedence)
- Parliament has mandate for legislation but are they doing it honestly?
- Let the rule of law prevail - Have a people friendly law in first place
- Step by step with involvement of all of us we can remove / reduce the cancer of corruption.
- START in your area of influence - your self, your home, your desk in office, your section in office, your locality, your extended family.......

Surgical Strike by Indian Special Forces in POK

1.     Since 1205 hrs on 29 Sep 16 the issue which has been "dissected" by all and sundry specially in Indian Media is the declaration by Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, DGMO of Indian Army that Indian Special Forces conducted surgical strikes inside POK and neutralized terrorists and "those who supported them".  Social media is abuzz like beehive with all kinds of messages being forwarded to all and sundry. Now let me enumerate what happened thereafter:- (a)  Pakistan gave out conflicting statements ranging from flat denial of any such operations, to accepting death of two of its army personnel in cross border" firing (Do they mean LOC is now IB?) to total silence from their Defence Minister who was talking of dropping nuclear bombs on India in case of any military action by India as also Gen Sharief their COAS who retires in a few weeks.
